A whalebone walking cane, the tapering shaft carved in rope twist, two sections to the top carved with opposite twist and reeding, a baleen collar, shirt cuff and friendship fist handle.

The whalebone used for canes and umbrellas is believed to be from the lower jaw, another by product after extracting the teeth.

Measures 81cm in length. Fist 3cm wide.
