An unusual electric lantern with fresnel lens by H.A JOHANNESEN of Grimsby. We haven't seen one of these in over 30 years of trading. It seems the maker made other brass nautical items. It would appear to us it is a signal or inspection lantern. We have left it with it's original patina for the moment, it may get sent to the polishers later.... Measures 33cm high x 12cm base diameter. The lens is 12cm diameter. It has a swinging handle.
