This statuette is the first design of a 1 1/4  life sized statue proposed for the Vernon monument, dedicated to Mine warfare and diving. The siting in HMS Vernon, now Gunwharf Quays was the shore based training establishment but is now a shopping centre .

This is a special edition one of its kind bronze of a 400mm edition made for the fundraising dinner held in July 2017 at Trinity House, London. Signed by the sculptor  LGJ 2017 (Mr Les. G. Johnson).

There were others made in bronze resin at 290mm.

Measurements 40cm plus a  3.5cm base x 40cm width x 20cm depth.

The design finally taken up is now in situ at Gunwharf of two divers underneath a mine.
