A super copper and brass Masthead oil lamp by Tung Woo of Hong Kong. Tung Woo were the main supplier of ships lanterns to Hong Kong harbour, the Macao Islands and islands in and around China. They have been making lanterns since the 1930's and are now no longer trading.
With makers plate to the front, swing handle, fresnel lens and complete with burner and shade inside. There is an electric wire and bulb inside which is not attached and the light has not been modified, the previous owner clearly had it lit up this way.
Measures a grand 50cm high x 32cm from front to back and weighs a sturdy 9kg.
