A set of eight copper Royal Navy rum or grog measures. 1/2 gill, 1 gill, 1 1/2 gill, 1/2 pint, pint, quart, 1/2 gallon and gallon. 1/2 GILL in bloc lettering, ER cypher and stamped with the serail number 53177. GILL in bloc lettering, GR cypher, stamped 53176 and dated 1953. 1 1/2 GILL in bloc lettering and stamped 53175. 1/2 PINT in bloc lettering with the ER cypher, stamped 53173 and dated 1956. PINT in bloc lettering with the GR cypher. QUART in italic lettering with the Gr cypher, stamped M.M.S and dated 1940. 1/2 gallon in bloc lettering with the ER cypher, stamped 53170 and dated 1957. GALLON in bloc lettering with the ER cypher and stamped 53169. A really nice set with good patina, tin lined and riveted handles.
