An early 19th Century reverse engraving on glass depicting Lord Nelson, dated 1806 in fabulous condition for its age.

With wooden frame and gold leaf surround framing a monument to Lord Nelson which reads 'ADL LORD NELSON. Born. Septr 26th 1758. DIED. Octr 21st 1805. flanked by a grieving sailor and Brittania.

With red, blue and white colouring.

The inscription to the bottom of the picture reads 'This MONUMENTAL TRIBUTE of Respect to the Memory of AdLd NELSON, who in the moment of Victory glorious fell fighting for his country is Dedicated to the Navy of Great Britain. Published March 1.1806. by J Hinton No 44 top of Wells Street. Oxford Street. London'.

A historic piece which has survived the test of time.
