Made in the style of a 'Cromwell Protector' home front helmet made in the 1940's during the war. No makers marks but it is undoubtedly a pulpware hat from the same era. Copper/steel rivets keep the panels together securely.

Made by compressing plant fibres, cotton rags and paper pulp and treated with chemicals. It's purpose was to protect against falling debris, glass, protection and doesn't conduct electricity.
