A stunning heavy duty pair of copper and brass Port and Starboard oil top ships lamps by the makers Alderson & Gyde Ltd, Birmingham and dated 1943. A and G manufactured from Trident works, Hall street, Birmingham and made ships lanterns during the second world war.
The port lamp has a label to the top but the starboard is missing. Both have their original burners and coloured shades intact. There is an electric wire and bulb in each, cut, from a previous owner. The lamps have not been modified in any way. Measure 40cm high and weigh 6.5kg each.
