A Baleen staybusk measuring 31cm x nearly 4cm. Baleen is made out of keratin, the same protein that makes up human fingernails and hair. It is found in the jaws of large whales and used to sieve prey. This one depicting flowers and foliage, a cross and other geometric designs with the initials RN.
