A whalebone match holder shaped as a clenched hand with a wooden cork backed lid. An eagle and a shield to the front with the wording 'DON'T GIVE UP THE SHIP'. The initials A.U.B down the side and to the reverse some foliage and fish skin decoration. Details of a wrist with a cuffed garment and a rope tie to the wrist. Super detail to the fingers. Measures 11cm x 4cm x 3cm.
