A super Micro barograph with inscription 'MICRO BAROGRAPH BY SHORT & MASON. MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN. No.1517/44'.
Short and Mason were established in 1875 by  Thomas Short and James Mason and traded at Hatton Gardens, London. They made and sold various instruments including baographs, barometers, compasses and aviation instruments.
In good working order within a glass case with ebonised base.
5 1/4" clockwork recorder, twelve drum atmosphere and gilt recording mechanism.
Measures 26.5cm high x 33cm wide x 19cm deep.
