A Royal Navy Oak Rum barrel or 'Grog tub' as they are lovingly known.

Oak throughout, brass bands around and brass letters 'THE KING GOD BLESS HIM' and the lid with brass star and acorn finial. We have had several of these over the years of this size and we now call them the ice bucket barrels. Stands 31cm high with the acorn adding another 4cm. We think this could well have come off a smaller ship of the fleet. The dimensions are the same just in a smaller size. They are normally always the same height as the base diameter. This has a base diameter of 30.5cm and lid diameter of 26cm.

A good item of decor or for practical use, these don't stay on the site for long.
