2 Half Gallon Rum measures - one Italic lettering and one bloc. PRICED AT £150 EACH

Copper Royal Navy Rum measures, correctly termed Grog measures, as they held rum and water.

The one on the left is 1/2 Gallon in bloc lettering with GR cypher, crown above and 6 below with separate digits of L over 52, the base has the vocabulary number of 53170. Riveted handle as is standard for british made measures. Nearly 14cm high.

The one on the right is a 1/2 Gallon in Italic lettering so of an earler age as this was the style before bloc came into use. GR cypher, crown above and 6 below, separate digits of B over 16. Nothing to the base. Both measures are tinned to the inside to prevent the alcohol having a metallic taste.
