A George III pierced ivory fan with a finely painted oval panel commemorating Lord Nelsons victory at the Battle of the Nile, 1st August 1798. The guard stick with applied marcasite decoration. Totally exquisite workmanship. Similar in style to Dieppe carvings. This piece is approx 200 years old! Mounted in a case. Measures 49cm wide x 30cm high x 4.5cm deep.
