An original black tin storage box belonging to Captian T.G.B. Pearce. RN. as painted on the lid containing hat, epaulettes and sword belt. The cocked hat is made of black beaver skin with a black silk rosette, a single twist loop, button to the centre and the interior showing made by Gieves, London as shown in the images. Full dress bullion epaulettes with silver bullion foul anchor and bullion twist tassels made by Gieves. Full dress sword belt with gilt buckle sword slings and two lines of bullion also made by Gieves.
Research shows he was serving as an engineering commander in 1944 and in 1964 with the rank of captain he was appointed ADC to QE11.
Measures 48cm wide, x 24cm deep x 28cm high.
Has moth balls inside which are clearly doing their job but have a distinctive smell!
