Lovely surviving set of turned bronze Apothecary measures dated 1879. Hard wood box measuring 26cm x 20cm x 8cm with the brass label inscribed 'WEST RIDING OF YORKSHIRE. STANDARD APOTHECARIES MEASURES. 1879. DEGRAVE, SHORT & CO. LONDON'. Inside are eight bronze measures of 4,3,2,1 Fluid oz, 4,3,2,1 Fluid drachms. The 4 Fl oz measuring 8cm high by 5cm diameter and the smallest 1 Fl Drachm measuring 3cm high by 2cm diameter. Complete with meniscus slides and pipette glass. All stamped with the royal cypher on the top rim, their dimension, the date 1879 and 'West Riding of Yorkshire'.
