Mahogany Dartmouth barometer

An impressive second quarter of the 19th Century mahogany barometer 'Lidstone, Dartmouth'.  Flat topped cornice over a deep trunk containing the sympiesometer with an engraved brass scale, recording dial, mercury thermometer and an alcohol tube. An acanthus carving to a brass cistern, signed bone scales with twin scales and rack and pinion.
