Item Notes:
An eight day ships clock. Made by J.Sewill, 30 Cornhill, Royal Exchange, London. John Sewill worked circa 1875 and was known for selling barometers, chronometers, sextants and telescopes.
Has a 7" diameter enamel dial with separate centred second sweep, slight ware to the face but nothing to detract. The dial also states 'The China Navigation Company'. This is a shipping company founded in 1872.
