A fine example of a round topped 'Storm coast' style barometer by Casartelli 1849-1893. The Oak case and clear scales, with contrasting red backing to the mercury tube, are typical of this type which were distributed around our Islands in the 1860's with great benefit to our fisherman and mariners. Stands to a height of 37"
