Item Notes:
A group of Scrimshaw that I bought together in one lot. I can send detailed photographs of each one on request. The first group of six are not initialled but maybe by the same hand. The second group of four are all initialled JFC, a man who worked in the mid 19th Century in the Azores. His son and daughter also used these initials so it is not easy to tell which era they are from.
Group of six - (1) Large tooth horizontal at the top of a ship is 6" long £395. (2) Down and to the right lying horizontal of a ship is 5" long and £250. (3) Far left of ship with anchor and surround lying horizontal is 5" and £360. (4) Next and to the right vertical of a ship is 3 1/2" and £230. (5) Next and to the right vertical of ship with rope surround is 3" and £230. (6) to come!
