Hello, and welcome to my website!
My name is David Bond and I deal in specialist nautical antiques and collectables. My interest in antiques began when I started diving in the early 1960's. Combining the diving with a strong nautical attachment, I joined the Royal Navy in 1965, where I spent most of my 22 years service as a Clearance Diver . Over the years I have gained a rich knowledge of the nautical world and the treasures that are to be found.
I invite you to have a look around my website and read about the items that I have for sale. You may also find it interesting to have a look through my Sold Items section to get a feel for the type of specialist items I deal in.
I have been in the nautical antiques business full time since 1988. I no longer operate from a shop premises, not wanting to be stuck behind a shop counter when I can be free to seek out items from far and wide. However, this does not mean that the antiques and collectables for sale cannot be viewed up close - the website contains high quality images of all the items. Any special features and their provenance, and more information, or images, can be sent to you as you require. All you have to do is to contact me via the Contact Me page and I will be pleased to get back to you.
You will find me in Dartmouth, a beautiful place in the South West of England. It is very easy to locate being only one hour from Plymouth or Exeter by road, and the nearest train station is only 20 minutes away at the equally lovely village of Totnes.
If you see something for sale on the website that you know you want, you can use the Contact Me page to arrange to reserve the item. Simply fill in your details and I will contact you in order to arrange the sale details*. Or, maybe you know what you want and can't find it? - in which case contact me, I may just be able to help!
I do hope you enjoy looking around my website and I look forward to hearing from you.
*Customers either send me a cheque, or give me their credit card details over the phone or bank transfer whichever is most suitable to both parties.
